SilverStream

AEGIS is a consulting partner with SilverStream, implementing solutions with the SilverStream J2EE application server and more recently the new eXtend line of products. As-One

As-One is a web-based solution for project management, team collaboration, knowledge management, and process improvement. AEGIS incorporates As-One into our SHIELD Methodology for software engineering. We find that it helps us immensely in communicating ideas and information among team member and it allows the client to have a window into the development process. The environment is custom configured to host Windows or Solaris-based applications on one or more load-balanced servers. In several cases, the AEGIS test center has been responsible for identifying key problems in our customers' mission critical applications. In other instances, we have certified the performance of applications giving our client the security of knowing that their system would stand up to real-life user volume.

The AEGIS test center uses Mercury Interactive testing solutions, the best in the industry. Through our partnership with Mercury Interactive, AEGIS offers every aspect of software testing including load/stress tests, performance tests, and regression tests. AEGIS provides Mercury Interactive certified consultants and expert system and network administrators for all test center engagements.

SilverStream Software

The Professional Services group of SilverStream Software used the AEGIS test center to prove that an application built on the ePortal Solution could scale to the volume of users that their client anticipated. The resources of the test center were key to determining not only the comfortable user volume that the application and its server cluster could support, but also in troubleshooting a number of technical issues that occurred during development.

MCI-WorldCom

The Government Services division of MCI-WorldCom, the telecommunications giant, came to the AEGIS test center to help troubleshoot a serious performance problem with an internally developed and deployed web application. AEGIS was instrumental not only in pinpointing the problem, but also in bringing together the necessary parties from several different vendors to solve the problem.

As-One

The last thing a budding dot com wants is a debut day disaster. As-One brought their online CMM application to the AEGIS test center to make sure they would have no surprises the first day their application was hit by real live users. As-One was able to try several scenarios while in the center and to certify that their application would scale to handle usage beyond their expectations.

The AEGIS training center offers state of the art hardware in an environment built for learning the latest technologies in a "real life" context. The center can be custom configured to match the hardware and software of a specific customer. For the student, we provide a very comfortable, high-end workstation with a live internet connection. Recently, the center has been used to train students on tools from Sybase, SilverStream, Mercury Interactive, and Sun Microsystems.

In addition to offering classroom training, AEGIS offers a special mentoring program where our experts train your staff and help design your application on-site over a 1-2 week time period and follow-up with routine visits.
